New music including Chvrches, Bishop Briggs, Pale Waves and First Aid Kit on this week’s West Of The Fields podcast

I dug deeper into recent releases from The Shins, Porches and The Go! Team on the show this week, while the retro alternative set went waaaaay back to the late ’60s (and a bit of the early ’70s) to explore some of the garage rock, folk-rock, early electronic and psychedelic bands that went on to influence generations of punk, post-punk and alternative groups (this excellent list of the 100 greatest alternative albums of the ’60s from Spin was instrumental in putting together this set).
