New music including The Strokes, Wolf Parade, Beth Orton and Cymbals Eat Guitars on this week’s West Of The Fields podcast

I debuted new tracks from Car Seat Headrest, The Kills and Kristin Kontrol on the show this week, while the retro alternative set focused on classic tracks from the year 1982. Also, a quick program note: I, uh, stopped the show a little more than halfway through this week because I was being beckoned to hang out with friends at a backyard fire pit and couldn’t resist the lure of Memorial Day!
